M35 Camouflage Luftwaffe Helmet

This M35 Luftwaffe helmet is a Q64 with a 4 digit batch number, and bears a partial camouflage finish that appears to have been in conjunction with a burlap cover or other type of upper camouflage. The national colors shield was removed per orders, but the Eagle– very sun-cracked and weathered– is still intact on the left side. The liner shows darkening from extensive wear, and the chin strap is missing. Overall, a great camouflage helmet, likely from the Normandy front. Unusual and a conversation piece! COA accompanies.
