Reproduction German Bicycle Grips 3D Printed (Pair)

3D resin printed bicycle handlebar grips.The price is for 1 pair; 2 grips total.The resin I used on these is quite strong and I believe more durable than the original Bakelite grips, as those tend to shatter even when simply installing them. This material is quite hard with a little bit of flexibility and stretch. These are not indestructible, but they are very good and much cheaper to replace or have on hand as a spare. The silver ring on the bottom is printed rather than being a separate metal band. This give the grips a very nice fit on standard European handlebars of the era.These install in the same way as the originals, simply slip them on and seat them with a fewlighttaps from a rubber mallet. The handlebar tube will actually cut into and seat on a protrusion inside the grips. A nice, inexpensive alternative for a part which will inevitably take a lot of abuse if you frequently use your bicycle.These were drawn from an original example. This pattern was used by a broad range of manufacturers and were available aftermarket as well. They can be found with a wide variety of maker logos on the end cap portion of the grip. I chose to make up my own kem logo for these ones rather than stocking dozens of different grips which might get confusing for shipping.This is a small production run as these actually have proven a little difficult to print and they do use a lot of resin. I was not entirely sure if this is something the hobby really wants or needs or not. If these sell reasonably well and the reviews are positive I will probably do a larger run or explore maybe making a new logo each time.
