WW2 Imperial Japanese Army – MODEL 1934 FIELD CANTEEN – NAMED – VERY NICE!

You are bidding on a VERY NICE example of a veteran acquired WW2 Imperial Japanese Army EM/NCO Canteen and Carrier!The Japanese Army Canteen differed from the Navy version, as it featured apainted body and wood/cork stopper (Navy version featured an unpainted aluminum body and aluminum cap). Officers and enlisted men carried the same type. Kanji numbers and names are sometimes found written on the outer canvas covers.Issued to troops of the Imperial Japanese Army, this canteen is in VERY NICE condition for its age. Though it features some slight wear and marks, there is no corrosion or damage! No damage to the carrier straps, however the leather is a bit dry (also features some slight rust staining). The markings on the cross are a bit faint, but they carry the name of the soldier who used it. Original cap is also still present! Would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
