John William Easton,23rd (Tyneside Scottish) Btn., Northumberland Fusiliers died of wounds on 1st November 1917 aged 39.The husband of Mary Elizabeth Easton of 25,North Terrace, Bedlington.He was born and enlisted at Bedlington, Northumberland, and is buried at Bedlington (Netherton Lane)Cemetery.He had previously emigrated to Pittsburgh U.S.A.,but returned with his family in 1906.John was injured at Passchendale and returned to to hospital in the U..K.but died of his wounds.He left his wife, and 7 children.
