British 1860's Yataghan Bayomet. Possible Confederate Contract

British made Pattern1856/60 Yataghan Bayomet. Bright blade in very good condition with only usual age stain marks. Original pressed fiber grips in good condition and working locking stud. The Ricasso only marked with the maker mark ' Chavasse' , there is no other markings.Comes with its leather scabbard with blackened steel fittings. The scabbard is in VGC and fits perfectly to the blade. Given there are no British proof or acceptance marks at all and the ricasso is only marked with ' Chavasse' , a well known UK contractor to the Confederacy during the US Civil War, this is a Confederate issued bayonet. If it's not it is most definitely a British Colonial issue bayonet.
