Australia 1920's Private Purchase Solar Helmet by Hordern of Sydney

A really nice example of a privately purchased pith helmet. Khaki cotton over cork with a matching multi-fold Puggaree. No dents of soft sections to the body.The red silk lining fully intact and with fitted a brown leather sweatband and chinstrap. The interior lining with the retailers name 'Anthony Hordern and Sons Sydney. And that this hat was made in India by special order of Hordern and Sons for retail in Australia.Perfect addition to a khaki drill uniform 1920's- WW2.
