Black Japanned tin storage tine with a maroon velvet padded interior. Used to store a pair of dress Epaulettes. A Queen Victorian crown distributor label to the lid for Matthew's and Co, Portsea. The brass name cartouche engraved to 'C E Eldred'.No contents.A hand written note inside indicating it belonged to an Enginner Captain who served c.1886-1892.
