Rare simplified sling from recycled ammunition belt material

Rare simplified sling from recycled ammunition belt material. The sling is made from captured Czech or Polish ammunition belt material. This material was used troughout the German army for a number of applications. As far as I can judge; this is either one of two things.Most plausibly this is a late war sling manufactured for use with the Volksgewehr 98.There is another theory indicating it is a sling for the MP38 as issued with the 6 cell MP38 pouch which has the exact same material and buckle for the sling. The sling is the typical size for a K98 sling and is in used condition. The leather tongue is fragile but intact. This is by far one of the rarest slings to find!
