WH (Heer) Customs Official's Visor Cap

WH (Heer) Customs Official's Visor Cap (Schirmmütze für einen Wehrmachtsbeamten). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. Although enlisted personnel were issued their caps from government supplies they were also permitted to purchase privately tailored caps. This is a nice privately purchased example. The celluloid manufacturers sweat-diamond ('Raute') is present and nicely maker marked marked by the 'Gebrüder Klotz' from Kiel. The cap is size 56 marked. The leather sweatband is in good used condition, a small part of the stitching came loose. The Visor cap is piped in the forest green branch-colour for customs personnel. The cap is complete with it's original recognizable customs type aluminum cap-eagle and cocarde. The cap is having a green/silver twisted customs type chinstrap. The cap is in good but clearly worn condition showing normal traces of usage, see photos. Nice and actually hard to find original customs visor cap!
