Description
An original SA Disabled Sports Badge (SA-Wehrsportabzeichen für Verwundete), RZM-marked M1/100, manufactured byWerner Redo, one of the most well-known and respected Third Reich insignia producers. This particular badge was awarded to wounded or disabled members of theSturmabteilung(SA) who successfully completed the modified SA sports requirements despite physical injury. As such, it represents a distinct and considerably scarcer award compared to the standard SA Sports Badge. The badge displays the classic vertical sword over swastika, surrounded by an oak leaf wreath, with correct wartime design and strong definition. The reverse is clearly stamped RZM M1/100, positively identifying Werner Redo as the manufacturer. The hinge, pin, and catch are original, intact, and fully functional.Condition is honest and worn, with visible patina, surface wear, and handling marks consistent with period use. There are no signs of repair or postwar modification. The badge remains solid and very well suited for display or advanced collection.Due to its restricted eligibility and lower production numbers, the SA Disabled / Wounded Sports Badge is far less common than the standard bronze SA Sports Badge, making this a highly desirable piece for collectors of SA insignia, RZM-marked awards, or Deschler-produced decoration.
