German Luftschutz Model 1940 Combat Helmet-This is a reissue with a green finish that remains mostly intact. It is combat ready in a model 1940. There is a bead around the circumference. The brown leather, size stamped 58 liner is in very good condition, remaining fully intact with minor wear and discoloration from use. There is a drawstring as well. Someone wrote the initials 'LO' onto the liner. The side of the interior is stamped ET 66 indicating production by Eisenhuttenwerke of Thale in the size of 66. The rear skirt is stamped with the lot number 4947 indicating production sometime in 1941. There is a wide brown leather chinstrap as well that is in good condition, just a bit stiff. Very rare!
