Description

WWII German Model 1942 Camouflage Helmet with Battle Damage-This Wehrmacht camouflage helmet has a chunky red, green and tan finish that is brushed on thickly and remains mostly intact. There is a bullet hole to the left front that went through the liner as well. This later helmet never had a decal. The size 59 leather liner is still very soft and has minor wear and discoloration to go along with its small bullet hole. There is a zinc liner band that is maker marked and dated 1943. The rear skirt is stamped EF 66 indicating production by Emaillerwerke of Fulda in the size of 66. It is also stamped with the lot number 0896 indicating production some time in 1943. A definite combat veteran!
