Description

Here we have a super rare and original A2 Flying Jacket. Attributed to the 20th Combat Wing - 2nd Bombardment Division - 446th Bomb Group 706th Squadron, flying B-24's out of Station125 Bungay, Suffolk. With 34 bomb mission bombs and 8th AF artwork to the back with an original English made 706th Squadron patch sewn to the left front.The overall condition is used with service wear, the cowhide leather is good with no rips or tears. Sleeve cuffs and waist bands are original and have plenty of wear and tear (see images). 706th patch has age and service wear. (Jacket is 83 years)Unfortunately not named.The Jacket is a Bronco manufacture with a 1943 contract number W33-038ac dated label which has the unusual feature of the dome capped eyelets.
