Italian WWII Navy Pattern Sword

Original period manufacture. Straight, 29 inch blade with etched panels on each side displaying a military motif. On the reverse side of the blade is an Italian Air Force eagle and fasces emblem. Solid basket guard of brass displaying a crowned anchor emblem. The reverse side of the guard folds down to lock the sword to the scabbard, however the small brass post on the scabbard throat is missing. White painted grip bound with three strands of wire. Lion head pommel with its mane as a backstrap and a crown screw nut at top. Leather bound hardbodied scabbard with brass fittings. Clean sword overall.
