RARE Luftwaffe officer visor cap 'Schirmmütze' by Erel 'Privat' 1939

Seldom seen Luftwaffe officer visor made by Erel. Highest quality example available, marked as 'Privat' (Private Purchase). Very interesting and typical 'Erel' is the air ventilation in the bullion cocarde on the front. Both national insignia are period applied and show matching patina. The celluloid diamond inside is marked as followed; Verkaufs-Abteilung der Luftwaffe, Berlin SW 68, Puttkamerstr. 16/18, Erel Berlin Sonderklasse, Privat. The sweatband itself is also Erel Stirnschutz marked. Size marked 56 and dated 1939. Very attractive, worn Luftwaffe visor by a rare and desirable manufacturer.
