German WWII Army Pith Helmet by JSH-This example has a darker brown felt body over a rigid shell. There is felt loss to the top button, and to left upper corner. Both of the shields are present and in very good condition. The green leather trim around the brim is mostly missing. The same leather is used for the chinstrap, which is only partially intact. The underside of the brim is green felt. The interior is lined in a dusky red cloth that has wear and discoloration. The tan leather sweatband is in 'as found' condition with several tears. It has an embossed maker logo that reads 'JHS'. There are some cracks to the red felt inside.A sound example overall. This would make a nice display piece.
