German WWII Kyffhauser Bund Visor Cap

German WWII Kyffhauser Bund Visor Cap-This is a beautiful cap made of a dark navy blue wool that is in excellent condition. The aluminum insignia, veterans eagle and cockade have been removed.It is interesting that there is still an impression of the eagle in the blue wool, so you can see where the insignia sat for many years. The black rayon band is machine woven, and nicely embossed with the veteran's memorial, (Kyffhauser monument) interspersed with swastikas. There is a black leather chinstrap that is in fine condition. There is some crazing to the visor itself, but this is from age and storage and is very slight. The interior is in fine condition, being fully lined in a blue cloth. There is a diamond shaped moisture shield with the Kyffhauser Monument and other writing. There is a tan ersatz leather sweatband which is in good condition. There is a very small black tag with the size 56 for the size. Despite missing the insignia(which I'm sure we can find for you), this cap is in very good condition.
