German WWII Land Customs Officials Visor Cap - This is a very nice example. This is a private purchase example that is of a very good quality. The body is tricot weave, field grey wool that is in near excellent condition. It is very clean. This cap has never seen a moth!There is green piping around the top panel as well as on the edges of the dark green badge cloth center band. The insignia retains the majority of its original finish. There is an officer's double chin cord in silver bullion with alternating green sections. The buttons are silver finished pebbled metal. The visor is black vulkanfibre is excellent. The underside is cream finished with cross hatching. The interior is fully lined in gold rayon. It shows minor wear and discoloration from use. There is a rhomboid shaped moisture shield which is fully intact. It has the maker info listed as G. Ashenneller. The sweatband is dark brown ersatz leather with sweat holes and in fine condition. The cap is size58,though it is not marked as such. A very nice cap.
