Small Orange Bakelite Kienzle Container

Period German small orange Bakelite container marked Martin Kaindl Kienzle Nürnberg. I am not entirely sure what this would have been for. It has a quarter turn opening and the style of the body is very reminiscent of the butter dish (albeit smaller). There is some damage to the lid with some cracking, but this doesn't seem to go through.
