Distinctive Waffen-SS M42 second type plane tree 3/4 pullover camouflage smock, handsome piece showing service use, textbook earlier issue second type with the horizontally positioned pocket flaps, spring reversible to the seldom seen 'orange variant' autumn pattern, made of over printed camouflaged linen based cotton, the spring side is roller printed in shades of dark brown/black, dark green and medium green over brown rendered in dots, splotches, blocky shapes and noticeable pattern guides, the autumn side is printed in light and dark browns with ochre tones, all foliage loops are made of autumn colored fabric, the smock is assembled with black construction threads, it has a lace up chest with an issue green tape drawstring, buttonholes are machine made with black cotton thread, the waist and sleeve ends are elasticized and have maintained their springiness, the lower skirt is hemmed, the sleeve ends have selvedge edges, the skirt's pocket bags are made of reed green colored drillich fabric, each side has scalloped pocket flaps secured with steel dished buttons, this smock was lightly used and is in an unaltered state, there is a 3cm length tear to the right cuff edge that was wartime repaired with black thread, truly excellent and desirable variant, USD $20,000
