Seldom encountered first pattern 'Heer model' Luftwaffe Fallschirmjäger 98k ammunition bandolier, constructed of olive green cotton twill with the edges having reinforcements of tan colored twill tape, wider sections of tan colored twill tape extending across the rear of the compartments are used for closure tabs, the olive color painted brass snaps are unmarked and a few show surface oxidation, one closure tab has parted and a couple of other are frayed, the thick connecting strap is woven in the HBT pattern, there are rust spots and a couple of small holes to the front, per the consignor the item was recovered in Normandy and was in a French collection for many years, USD $6000
