US WWII Identified USAAF Officers Tunic, B-25 Crew

Sold
$110.00

Description

Original period manufacture. This Army officers regulation four pocket gabardine wool tunic, came from a local estate sale with the original insignia as shown. No mothing in evidence, just normal age and wear with its waistbelt intact. On the inside pocket of the tunic is a name tag with the name of C.A.Schwartz, in addition several Elks Club membership cards were found in another pocket. A handwritten notation informs us that he flew 88 missions aboard a B-25 Medium Bomber by the name of Sticky Kitty. There must of been several aircraft with that name as the entire crew of a Sticky Kitty B-25 was lost to Japanese Flak over Bunabon Harbor, New Guinea in February 1944. Tunic size is about a 38-40 Long.  Should be a fun research project.
