German Matching Numbers K98 Bayonet Dated 1941 With 1940 Frog

Bayonet marked 'crs 41' for Paul Weyersberg & Co and numbered '5575'. Blade retains most of its blue finish with some wear to the finish on the highlights and a mix of dried grease. Bakelite grips showing minor scratches, steel fittings a mix of blue and minor surface roughness. Scabbard retains about 40% of its original finish with the remainder deep brown and a spot of surface roughness. The scabbard throat is marked 'crs 41' and '5575' on the reverse. The leather frog retains tight stitching and rivits and most of its original black finish. The frogs reverse is maker marked and is dated 1940.
