German Pre-WWI Bavarian Veterans Medal, 15th Regiment

Original era manufacture. A very nice quality medal featuring a double sided, gilded brass cross and an attractive ribbon with Crown, bar and crossed helmets with Raupenhelm. The bar tells the unit the soldier served with, in this instance, The Royal Bavarian 15th Infantry Regiment, King of Saxony. Possible 1870-71 War Veteran, although Bavaria wore the Raupenhelm into the 1880's.
