WWII Soviet Russian Red Army Generals Victory Parade Tunic, Visor Cap and Brocade Belt-This is a stunning set and something that we have never had on offer before. The tunic is produced in a thick, extremely high quality greenish blue wool. It is in excellent condition. It is double breasted with two rows of six gold buttons. The left upper and vertical edge of the closure seam is piped in red. This would be for a general of armor or artillery. Same for the cuffs, which also have fantastic gold bullion tresse and leaf motif. The stand up collar is lined in red, this doubles as the piping. The upper collar is piped in thick gold bullion along with another leaf motif, also in gold bullion. The slip on shoulder boards are very wide with red underlay that doubles as the piping. There is a heavy embellished gold tresse face and a single bullion star. This is in the 1943 pattern and it is for a major general. The back of the tunic has a tail that is piped in red with four gold buttons. There are three medals pinned to the left breast. The are, from left to right as viewed, the Order of the Red Banner, the Defense of Moscow and the Defense of Stalingrad. The right side has three screw back awards. Starting at the top, we have the Soviet Order of the Patriotic War and a pair of Soviet Orders of the Red Star. The interior is fully lined in a very soft gray rayon. It is in excellent condition. This is a size large. The visor cap is of equal quality as compared to the dress jacket. It is thick green wool with red piping and gold bullion embellishments. There is a large gold cockade with red enamel star, sickle and hammer. The double chin cord is thick gold bullion. There is a black vulkanfibre like visor. The interior is fully lined in a golden brown silk and there is a leather sweatband that is in great condition. There is a diamond shaped moisture shield with maker info. It is a size 56. The brocade belt is for the first victory parade. It is lightly toned with red stitched into the brocade. The inside of the belt is lined in black wool. There is a silver clasp type buckle which is correct for this belt and uniform.
