Description
WWII German Army Infantry Model 1936 Tunic for NCO-This is a sharp, high quality example produced in field gray wool that has some fading, some wear, very minor discoloration/staining and a few very small moth nips. It is an early model 1936 with pleated breast pockets and hidden hip pockets, each with scalloped flaps. There is a six button closure and all buttons are silver finished pebbled metal. The left side of the closure is piped in white. There is a dark green badge cloth collar and French cuffs. The collar has silver NCO tresse at the front and upper edges. There are really nice, early style collar tabs of white badge cloth with beautiful, toned silver bullion columns. The sew in shoulder boards are dark green wool with silver NCO tresse around the entire perimeter. Each has a chain stitched number 8 and a button with the number 1. This indicates that the owner was a feldwebel in the 1stCompany of the 8thInfantry Regiment. The optional silver bullion breast eagle is beautiful, neatly hand applied and over dark green wool. There are loops for a single badge on the left breast pocket plus loops for a small ribbon bar that is included. The interior is fully lined in a golden brown rayon that has minor wear and fading from use. There is a tear in the left sleeve lining. There is a single vertical pocket in the tail. There is a waist belt with plated metal clip. This is a nice, untouched, lightly used example! Please note that any 'accessories' (i.e. medals, badges, belts etc.) are NOT included unless stated in description!
