spatentasche 1941

This is a beautiful original Wehrmacht shovel pouch (Spatentasche). The shovel was a basic piece of equipment issued to all enlisted men and non-commissioned officers. It was carried in a leather belt holder. The pouch is made of leather and has two leather loops for carrying the shovel on the belt. The pouch is nicely maker marked and dated 'Ofmann und Sohne Rensberg 1941.' The leather is still supple. This rare, half-open, original example is hard to find!
