Vintage National Rifle Club? Pin Badge

I question whether I am correct with 'National Rifle Club' as I cant find a comparison so am using the 'say what you see' method, so this is a vintage brass and enamel pin badge, it has crossed rifles and NRC below, there are no makers marks, it comes in fair condition with some damage to the blue enamel, it measures just under 1.75 inches long.
