Description
You are bidding on a SUPERB New Old Stock example of a WW2 German Wehrmacth 3-Polig Anhängerstecker (3-Pronged Trailer Electrical Connector Cable)! This was used in conjunction with military vehicles towing both Artillery and FlaK Cannons! Used with the Opel Blitz, Sd.Kfz. 7, Sd.Kfz 10, Sd.Kfz. 11, and others!Throughout the war, German vehicles such as the Opel Blitz and various Sd.Kfz. series halftracks utilized standardized electrical trailer connector systems to supply power to towed equipment. These cables provided electrical connection for lighting and signaling systems on trailers, artillery pieces, and anti-aircraft guns. Featuring three or five-pronged cylindrical connectors, these assemblies allowed secure electrical linkage between the towing vehicle and the towed Flak or artillery system, functioning in much the same way as modern trailer light harnesses.Made of Aluminum, Bakelite, and Steel, with its original rubber cable, this example remains in NEW OLD STOCK condition, and is still tied together with its ORIGINAL factory string! The cylindrical connectors retain approximately 85% ORIGINAL Panzer Grey paint with minor paint chipping and small areas of exposed bare metal but no corrosion present. The Bakelite components are COMPLETE with no cracks. The rubber cable remains supple with no cracking or deterioration observed. Both three-prong connectors are intact, straight, and engage properly. The cable has not been unrolled and remains exactly as found from factory storage. There are NO cuts, repairs, or modifications! A SUPERB and increasingly RARE original German Trailer Electrical Connector Cable…PERFECT for any collection or display!
