Description

A very good example of the Henry Yataghan Pattern. German contract blade with Weyersberg mark and no ordnance inspection or proof marks. These are indicators of an Australian issue bayonet. MRD 20mm. Original pressed leather grips and working locking stud. The cross guard stamped 'AMC. R70'Comes with its matcging leather scabbard with steel fittings. The frog stud with matching serial number ''70'. Overall light stain to the pommel ,cross guard and scabbard fittings. The scabbard lesther is dry and has lost its stitching to the reverse but is in very good condition and fits well to the bayonet.Refer to Skennerton (1) Pages 271-272.
