Ley'.Hedwig Maria Ley (1888-1978) was a German sculptor from Soest. Ley studied at the applied arts school in Munich and became a student of Hans Stangl from 1920. She sympathized with the Nazi movement and was personally acquainted with Adolf Hitler. The Hitler bust made by her in 1932 was the first Hitler work of art authorized by the party. This is an example of the Bust she sculpted in 1932.The bronze buste is 29cms high. The total weight of the bust is approximately 4.5kgs.
