Description
German WWII Book Celebrating the 'Topping Out Ceremony' of the Reichs Chancellery Building-This is a book of 7 drawings that show the Richtfest or topping off ceremony of this historic building. For those of you also didn't know what topping out means, I looked it up for us. A topping out ceremony is an age-old tradition in which the tallest and last beam is placed on a project. It marks a major milestone for everyone on the project. This usually is an event to be celebrated. This is a presentation book commemorating this moment, with three title pages, followed by more pencil drawings of the topping off for the building. The drawings were done by Curt Winkler. This booklet measures approximately 10 inches (25.4cm) by 10 inches (25.4cm). The drawings are in excellent condition, as is the presentation book. The book's hardcover looks like wood, with a large embossed national eagle on the cover. Please be aware that the photo of Hitler is missing on this example, but overall, a very good example.
