You are bidding on an EXCELLENT example of an original WW2 Japanese Type 94 37mm Armor Piercing Round, dated October 1942 (Showa 17)!The Type 94 37mm anti-tank gun was the standard Japanese Army light anti-armor weapon of the late 1930s and early Pacific War. It was widely used in China and throughout the early campaigns in the Pacific. Armor piercing ammunition such as this example was designed to defeat light armored vehicles and fortified positions.Made of brass and steel, this 37mm Armor Piercing Round is in VERY NICE used condition! Completely inert, it comes complete with the AP projectile with intact driving band and original finish. The projectile is present and correct, firmly seated, with no cracks, separation, or alteration observed. The casing is datedShowa 17, Month 10 (October 1942), with fully legible headstamp markings and intact primer. The round is completely inert and properly deactivated, with no drill holes visible and no corrosion. The mouth is round and undamaged, and the piece retains an attractive natural patina consistent with age. A scarce and desirable complete mid-war Type 94 armor piercing round in VERY NICE original condition. PERFECT for any collection or display!
