WW2 MkII Helmet - Royal Marines 1940

The outside of the shell has a slightly textured tan or buff colour consistent with the Southern Europe theatre of war and has a painted decal attributed to the Royal Marines. The inside of the helmet retains its factory finish and is stamped R EE II 1940. (Note: probably Ruby Owen, stamp partly covered by lug) The lugs are also stamped II 1940. The liner is stamped 7 1/4 VERO II 1940.
