WW2 Special Air Service Padded Jump Wings.

A great example of a used Special Air Service jump wing badge. This is a thick padded patch constructed from different coloured woven thread. The embroidery work is of an open parachute. There are obvious signs of wear and removal from its original uniform. Some of. the thread on the outer extremities shows signs of rubbing/wear. The colours are a little subdued and grubby and best left alone. The backing is made of course black cotton cloth. Measures approx 6.5 x 2 cm at the widest points.
