Vintage German hand carved heart shaped single candle holder.The price is for one.Every one is a little different from the next as they are all hand carved. The age of this is a little unclear, but they are properly old and came out of a cleanout of a small former wood shop. The style of these is very similar to the wood work popular in the 1930's-1940's and the surface carving is the style that I see with a lot of the rehabilitation workshops for war wounded. Its a very hearty (pun intended), gemutlich style.There was a lot of stuff cleaned out of this place and all of it was roughly 1940's including some of the hardware bits and bobs. I can't date these exactly, but these would certainly look at home in a WWII setting. I bought them mostly because I like deadstock from that era and I also found these to be very nice looking. They just have a certain look about them.
