You are bidding on a VERY NICE example of a WW2 Imperial Japanese Army Type 97 Ho1 / Ho3 20mm Aircraft Cannon Casing! These casings were produced for use in Army aircraft armament and represent a distinctive example of wartime Japanese ordnance manufacture. This was used SPECIFICALLY in conjunction with the Kawasaki Ki-45 and Nakajima Ki-49!The Ho-1/ Ho-3 20mm aircraft autocannon was a magazine-fed system used on a variety of Japanese Army aircraft during the Second World War. It was a essentially a Type 97 20mm anti-tank rifle adapted for use in aircraft.Made of brass this Shell Casing is in EXCELLENT used condition! EMPTY and COMPLETELY INERT with no projectile or powder present, the original primer remains in place and appears mis-fired. The headstamp features the 'シ' (Shi) mark at the upper left along with the visible numeric markings shown. There are NO cracks, splits, dents, corrosion, or damage observed.
