Dress K98 Bayonet by Puma with Frog and Portepee

The short dress bayonet has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 13-1/2 inches. The blade is generally quite bright, showing some spots and scratches. The ricasso bears the mark of the Puma firm. The leather washer remains in place at the top of the blade. The black Bakelite grip plates are without chips or cracks. The guard and the pommel have spots of wear to the nickel finish and uncleaned patina. A red felt insert is within the rifle slot. The scabbard has wear and age evident to the black paint. The black leather frog similarly exhibits age and wear, but it is intact. The portepee tied around the frog has areas of fraying to the stem. Overall the bayonet is in very good condition.
