M40 Polizei double decal steel helmet SE64

Light worn M40 pattern Police helmet in good condition. Both decals remain present for over 95% on both sides of the helmet and show sharp details. The helmet is covered in smooth pea-green paint. These early produced helmets still had the same paint and looks as the previous M35 helmet, making this a hard to find helmet in this condition. The liner remains in similar good condition as the exterior and the leather feels supple and strong. The full length draw string and early chin strap with aluminum buckle remains present. The liner ring is dated 1940 and the split pins remain untouched. The helmet is maker marked by SE, size 64. Lot number in the rear: 7868. The front shows a genuine bullet hit, a nice extra to a stunning Polizei helmet, that's for sure!
