German WWII Heer Enlisted Shoulder Strap Numbers, IR 115

Original period manufacture. White chain stitched numerals on feldgrau wool. Never used, seam on the reverse of one of the slides has opened. Grenadier Regiment 115 served with the 47th Division during WWII. Normandy, rebuilt in Denmark and redesignated a Volks Grenadier Division. Aachen, Himmler's offensive against Strasbourg. It's survivors surrendered to US forces at the end of WWII.
