German WWII RAD Leader's Dagger by Eickhorn-This is a beautiful dagger that has a few stated liabilities. The fittings retain approx. 90% of their finish on the hilt and 99% of the finish on the scabbard. The RAD emblem has great tone and details. The white celluloid grip plates do show moderate cracking and appear to have been repaired at one point. Please be sure to look closely at the photos as this is a visual distraction. The scabbard is very good with the exception of a few scratches at the top reverse which you probably won't even notice in the photos. The blade is in good condition though it has been cleaned (not by us) and this has caused some of the makers' information to be rubbed away. The blade does show some slight edge sharpening. The obverse of the blade has the Labor Corps motto which translates to 'Work Ennobles'. The reverse of the blade has the iconic Eickhorn squirrel logo, but again, look at the photos because a portion of the maker's logo has been buffed away. Nice looking but again, this piece has a few issues. This would make a good placeholder, especially for a beginner collector.Online checkout is not supported for edged weapons.
