Description
German WWII Long Model Fireman's Bayonet w/Frog-This is an excellent example. The nickel plating on the hilt and crossguard is approx. 95% intact. The mortise button functions as it should. The black bakelite checkered grip plates are in very good condition showing only light wear. The brown leather buffer is in place under the crossguard. The scabbard retains approx. 90% of its original black enamel finish, and really the only spot that is missing its finish is the ball at the tip. The unmarked blade is a little difficult to remove from the scabbard, but it is in very good condition. This comes with its original black leather frog that is also in near excellent shape. Remember, the long bayonets were worn by the regular staff, and the shorter bayonet for the officers. This is a very desirable example overall.Online checkout is not supported for edged weapons.
