Zinc-based Wehrmacht (Luftwaffe) ID disc (Erkennungsmarke), clearly stamped '53501' and '1./(F) Aufkl.Gr. 121,' indicating service with 1. Staffel (Fernaufklärung) of Aufklärungsgruppe 121 (reconnaissance unit). The disc shows honest wear and age-related patina, consistent with period use. Nicely struck lettering and a clearly readable low bearer number '44.' Type A (blood group A) is impressed. A solid and attractive Luftwaffe reconnaissance-related ID disc, recently sourced from a private German household.
