A good original 1956 pattern 'British Railways Eastern Region Guard cap badge', nickel plated fishtail pattern convex example inlaid with dark blue enamel, the reverse impressed with maker's details 'J.R.GAUNT LONDON' Very good condition, complete with original two rectangular fittings, split tangs now ABSENT, no stress marks or enamel loss.Width approx 80mm.
