Description

A very scarce original circa 1950's period 'The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh School of Dietetics pin badge'; small pointed oval example the centre depicting the schools embossed crest carrying the Latin motto 'Ad Sanitatem Gentium' (To the health of nations) within a green enamel surround; the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1950, maker's details 'H & I' (Hamilton & Inches Princes Street, Edinburgh Scotland) and inscribed to the recipient 'F.W.ROBERTSON with low issue number '191'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, an excellent example.Height approx 33mm.
