BeVo-woven NSRL Sports Badge in Bronze 1944

BeVo-woven NSRL Sports Badge in Bronze (Leistungsabzeichen in Bronze). Originally introduced as the DRA medal shortly after the 1913 Olympic games as an incentive to promote physical training among the German population. In 1933 the DRA badge was replaced by a new DRL badge of the same design. The DRL organisation was renamed to NSRL (Nationalsozialistischer Reichsbund für Leibesübungen) on 21 December 1938. This is a nice cloth version (Stoffausführung) of the NSRL Sports Badge, woven in the so-called 'BeVo'-weave technique in orange/bronze on a black background. This is a 1944 version showing the interwoven 1944 date. The patch is just a bit wrinkled caused by years of storage. Nice original example in mint and unissued condition!
