Original Dutch Army trumpet banner of the Anti-Aircraft Artillery (Luchtdoelartillerie) from the pre-1940 period, a finely executed ceremonial piece dating to the mobilization years of the Netherlands Army. Such banners were attached to military trumpets or signal horns and used during parades, drills and ceremonial occasions within artillery units. The banner is made of dark fabric and features a richly embroidered emblem in gold/yellow colored thread. The edges are finished with red piping and the lower edge is decorated with a fringe. At the top the original attachment ribbons are still present, which were used to secure the banner to the trumpet.Trumpet banners of the Dutch Anti-Aircraft Artillery from the mobilization period before the Second World War appear relatively rarely on the market.
