Weimar Period Model 1929 Reichsmarine Officer Dagger with Etched Blade by Alcoso with Portepee

The etched blade of the dagger is quite clean, showing typical spots and scratches but making a very fine appearance. The red felt washer is in place at the top of the blade. The ricasso bears the maker mark of the Alcoso firm. The celluloid grip is toned to a vubrant orange and it is without chips or cracks, and it remains tightly wrapped with twisted wire. The guard, pommel, and the pebbled scabbard all have a fine and uncleaned patina. The portepee shows a bit of fraying of the cord, and it is toned and soiled with age and use, but it is complete and intact. Overall the dagger is in excellent condition and it makes a splendid appearance.
