Original WWII US Army shoulder patch of the 28th Infantry Division ('Keystone Division'). Distinctive red keystone emblem, fully embroidered in bright red thread on khaki/OD cotton backing. The keystone symbol represents the state of Pennsylvania, from which the division originated.The 28th Infantry Division saw heavy combat in Normandy, the Hürtgen Forest, and the Battle of the Bulge, where it suffered significant casualties.Second World War period, fully embroidered example with typical WWII construction.
