Description

Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse). On 1 September 1939 Hitler reinstituted the Iron Cross (First time in 1813). The 2nd class cross was for award to personnel who performed a single act of bravery in combat. The cross has a three piece construction with an iron core, it just shows some minor wear and great detail overall, the paint looks to be touched up, see photos. The cross comes on its original ribbon as found. The cross is not visible maker marked but can be attributed to production by the company of 'Rudolf Souval' from Wien (Vienna). Nice example in used condition!
